My love of color is what keeps me
engaged in painting.  I like to use a
palette knife so that I can get big textural
chunks of color onto my canvas.

I am an intuitive painter and I admit that
my process is chaotic at times.  I let the
canvas and the paint inform me what
needs to come next.  Although I do have
some idea of where I am going, in the
middle of my process it can be hard to

My personal imperative at this time in my
life is to be attentive to beauty.  Painting
helps me to do that.  It is wonderful to be
my age and have something I love to do
that gives me such joy.
